I'm so glad you're here. I'm April, a natural light photographer based out of Asheville, North Carolina.

For me, photography is a way to capture the fleeting beauty and magic of the present moment. My work is heavily influenced by my love for light, authenticity and the natural world. I'm also deeply inspired by the natural sense of wonder that children innately possess. An idealist at heart, my hope is that in capturing the little moments that so easily go unnoticed, my photographs will reveal the innate goodness, truth and beauty that can be found in everything, everywhere, in every moment, if only we have eyes to see it.

I specialize in photographing families who want to capture the here and now, true, genuine beauty of their lives. Who aren't afraid to get messy and who value presence over perfection. As a former kindergarten & preschool teacher and now mom of 2 boys, I have a special love for working with young children and capturing their playfulness and innate sense of wonder.
