I have a laid back style of photographing, notice the details and pay close attention to capturing emotion. I give gentle direction that increases engagement and authentic moments of connection. I deeply value being fully present in life and have a knack for helping clients relax, be in the moment, have fun and enjoy their sessions.

My oldest work goes back to an album I created when I was 5 years old. It's mostly filled with photographs of my stuffed animals and favorite aunts and uncles. ☺️ Then during college, I took a black and white manual film course and fell in love with photography. I started photographing landscapes, friends' engagements and weddings. After traveling the world, being a teacher and becoming a mom, I found my way back to photography. I started my business 5 years ago and have learned so much about myself along the way.

Does a 90 minute or 2.5 hour session with your kids feels a bit...daunting? I get that fear, but don't fret, these are not your typical photoshoots and I am not your typical photographer. Longer sessions allow more time to get to know each other, let down our walls and feel more like friends just hanging out. When we slow down, we make way for authentic, intimate moments to unfold. The extended amount of time is especially crucial for young children, who naturally need some time to build up trust for a new person. Once they warm up to me, I can capture your child as they truly are! I'm not interested in capturing posed, fake smiles. You want to remember your child exactly as they are during this brief and magical stage in their life. During my sessions, I create a time capsule for you to open up 30 years from now when your children are having children. A time capsule that instantly brings you back to the sounds of the laughter, the smell of the flowers, the beauty of that sacred moment.

And let's be real, the extra time also gives plenty of room for the full range of emotion that comes with a child (or adult. 😜). There's no pressure for everyone to act a certain way or be ready right this moment, because we've got time. We can relax, be present and let the moments unfold just as they are. And there is no pressure to fill up the entire time frame either, I love customizing my session to the specific needs and dreams of each client.
